Meet Maple - an affable canine companion whose infectious grin is sure to win your heart! This lady is an ardent lover of outdoor adventures, particularly hikes and running sessions. Her zest for learning is apparent; she's quick to pick up new skills and commands, and her desire to be around her human companions only strengthens this trait.Car rides? Maple loves them! Post bath she morphs into an adorable ball of energy. She knows her name and is usually quick to respond when called. While her jumping skills are impressive, she respects boundaries and doesn't challenge barriers like baby gates. Maple is a laid-back dog when indoors; she's perfectly content lounging on the couch while you're busy working or doing chores.However, like any individual, Maple has a few challenges. She would do best as an only pet, or with a resident dog that she's had multiple successful meet-and-greets with.Maple can be a bit anxious at times, which may manifest in tail chasing. Fortunately, she is very treat-motivated, which aids in calming her down. She also tends to be a little mouthy, like a puppy, but we're working on it!Maple thrives in a routine. She enjoys her peaceful naps post breakfast and loves gazing out the window, observing neighborhood critters from the end of the sofa. Being an attached companion, she'll happily follow you around the house. Maple relishes her walks and basks in the sun during her backyard nap times.The heat can sometimes be an issue for our adventurous Maple due to her elongated soft palate. It gives her a unique snarffly dinosaur-like sound while playing and causes her to snore during sleep.Maple is a fantastic hiking and running partner. A front-clip harness works best for her. Her quick learning skills and eagerness make her a perfect candidate for agility courses and continued training.With a vibrant personality and unconditional love to offer, Maple is searching for a forever home.
