The bestest of girls who is the life of any party, meet MARDI! She is the queen of the pool, master of zoomies, expert bunny hunter, and all with a smile that will light up any room. Mardi is a special girl who is with one of our team members and best foster homes. Mardi was another momma dog who was lucky to land in rescue. She was rescued along with her pups who have all found their forever homes and now it is absolutely Mardi's turn. Mardi is an independent girl and can be an only dog but she does enjoy her male canine friends and thinks a lanky rescued coonhound is pretty cool and special friend. She is a big girl (70 pounds + 2 years old) and is best with adults or older kids as though they don't happen often, her yard zoomies could inadvertently take a small kiddo down. Says her foster mom ––“ MARDI is adjusting to her new foster home very well. Coming from a home where she was an only dog to our crazy place is an adjustment for any dog and MARDI is doing so well. She has appreciated the opportunity to have time and space as she acclimates to having other doggos in her world. MARDI is very loving of her people and enjoys hanging out with us, where ever that may be. She is a well mannered house guest. No accidents, chewing, barking etc. She eats in her crate and sleeps in it as well with the door open. She can be crated with the door closed but we don’t need to. She will often get her zoomies out and enjoys wrestling with the big guy, BO. We love having MARDI as part of our family while she waits for her own!” MARDI IS PART OF OUR NEW "SHELTER DOG SUCCESS PROGRAM"! Her adoption comes with training! 50% of his adoption fee is transferred to a dedicated trainer who zooms with you 1st, to prep you for her pick up. Followed by two additional zooms, as needed, with text support in-between! Each zoom is an hour long and at the end of your program, she will make a recommendation on best next steps for your training plan. It's important to us that our adult dogs have this second chance and this new program sets them and your household up for success too!
