This foster boy is Marlon, he is almost 2 years old, and has lived most his life in boarding, now don't feel too bad for him, the staff LOVE him to the moon and back and he is treated very well with socialization, lots of scritches, treats, toys and a clean place to lay his head each night. The dogs learn a lot with the routine and consistency of boarding. They have to be patient, get along with others, deal with loud noises and not be reactive. Marlon was crowned leader of the welcome wagon with his new friends who come to stay. However what he hasn't learned is how to be calm in a home where he has to respect the home and learn to be safe and calm. You and me can't understand why a dog would not know they are safe in a home or feel comforted by the things we as humans take comfort in. This takes time for the sensitive pyr. Marlon needs an adopter or a foster who can work with him on some house manners, allow him to decompress in the home with the freedom to explore with supervision and without other dogs overstimulating him. He also needs a dog friend who likes to play and play hard. His favorite pass time is roughhousing with his dog mates. Marlon walks great on leash and rides very well in the car.
