Merlin had a wild 5 months with me. I first met him the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. He had been hit by a truck. A couple of men I have never seen before pulled him out of the road. No one stopped or was rushing to get to him. Poor babe was dazed and confused. We talked and decided I would take him and get him checked out and checked for chip. Got him home, checked him out. He was ok. I introduced him to my dogs and cat. Things went well. Vet appointment revealed he belonged to another owner. Long story short, she never came for him. I love him but already have three dogs. I cannot can't see sending this gorgeous baby to a shelter. My Vet believes he's between 1.5-2yrs old. He is absolutely adorable!! He's a lover and wants to always be close (following room to room). He loves to play with toys (toss and chase). He loves walks but loves to chill out, too. I must say that the next family must have experience with dogs with strong wills or "hard train". He has an aggressive impulse toward other dogs and men. It can be trained out of him because he's improved since being with me but he does need more/dedicated attention to training. He wants to please. He is not food aggressive. He's never looked cross toward me (meaning I am not afraid of him). He does like to get out (but again, he has improved about not darting out). Oh and trash - yes, he looooves searching through trash but now leaves inside trash alone. He has SUCH potential. I love him. I just do not have time to train him or the money to keep him healthy and feeding him. I have three older in age dogs and love to take them camping, fishing, and hiking. Merlin is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
