Adopt Mia a Great Pyrenees / Mixed dog in Portland, OR (38208792)

Location:
Portland, OR
Description:

Hello my name is: Mia. My nickname is: Mamma Mia. I am a Great Pyreneed about 2 yrs old. My favorite thing to eat is: Cheese is good, and I LOVE plain yogurt. I really don’t turn down much of anything. My favorite thing to play with is: Any of my chewy toys! Especially the ones that taste like food. Himalayan cheese is a particular favorite. My funniest quirk is: I pick things up from around the house and bring them to one spot, just because. It’s like I’m making a nest! What do I get in trouble for: Sometimes I bark at night, but I’m just keeping the house safe. What I dislike the most: Cars driving by fast or big busses/trucks when we’re on walks. What makes me unique: I’m a super sweet and happy girl now that I’ve settled in at my foster home. I’m playful, but I also nap like a champ. And I get so excited when my foster parents come home! None of that might be unique, but it all makes me who I am and there’s only one Mia.Where do I sleep: Usually on the floor, but sometimes I sleep on the sofa. I used to use a dog bed; I really don’t mind where I sleep.Do I love car rides: Getting in the car isn’t my favorite, but I’m okay during the drive.Where’s my favorite place to go: On walks! But I like to go when it’s a bit quiet outside and there aren’t a lot of cars driving by.Do I like cats: Eh. They’re fine. I like to sniff them, but they don’t want play with me, so I leave them alone. How I feel about my crate: I don’t use one.Mia gets along with her foster brother, a Pyr named Percy. She would prefer to play more than he would and would do great with a playmate. She can be a bit anxious at times, especially when it’s time for a walk and her foster parents are taking their time with getting ready to go. Mia has learned the routine and wants to stick to it.She’s house trained and is learning how to walk nicely on a leash. Mia is a super chewer and loves to have treats like Himalayan cheese, stuffed bones, and her Nylabone. If she’s got a really good treat, she’ll let the other pets in the house know to stay away with a little growl. Keep yummy chewy things on hand and she’ll stay away from your shoes.Mia uses the Pyr paw sparingly, so when she uses it she means business. Usually potty business. If you join her on the floor, she’ll happily put her head in your lap for pets. Mia loves attention and pets, the more the better.
