Hi, I’m Miles! I am a super sweet almost 5 year-old, 60 - 65 lb. Blue Nose American Staffordshire Terrier boy who was surrendered by my owner in Cortez, CO. They couldn’t take care of and keep me anymore and even though they lost their home, they still loved me very much and wanted to make sure I found the very best home. So they asked El Paso County Canine Rescue to find me one. But now it's been nearly 2 years since I came to be in my foster home and no one has picked me to be their buddy! I'm not sure why, because I love snuggles, long walks, and playing with my foster brothers and sister. I also relax by sitting on the couch watching TV when I am not playing inside. I am very curious, energetic, strong, love car rides and potty trained. I am interested in everything going on outside, and as my previous parents said, I “follow my nose." Therefore, it's paramount I have a secure backyard and I am always on a leash when out and about. That isn’t to say I want to run away, I am just a curious boy! I am crate trained but prefer to be with my people and play. I know my name and respond well to it but could use some training time to learn the basics of dog/owner behavior. I would do great with an active single, couple, or couple with older children. I am not good with cats or small furry creatures. I eat alone or in my crate and would have to take it slow if I eat with a future brother or sister. I am looking for my ‘furever’ home where I can give you all the love I have in my heart, which is as big as my pibble head!
