Introducing Milky, the lovely female dog who made her way to our shelter on August 10th, after being discovered on a kind finder's porch months ago. Milky's past life speaks volumes about her adaptability and affectionate nature, as she previously shared her space with adults, kids, and a menagerie of other pets. She's reportedly on friendly terms with kids, cats, and dogs, showcasing her versatility and warm-heartedness. Milky's energy level is described as medium to high, indicating her enthusiasm for life. Although she may have been a bit nervous upon her shelter arrival, she simply needs a patient and understanding hand. A slow introduction is her preferred way to warm up, but once she does, you'll find that Milky's heart is as warm as her name suggests. She's ready to bring her charm and companionship to a forever home that appreciates her gentle spirit and adaptability. Per volunteer (8/15): She's a bit shy but warms up with time. Excellent leash skills. Chased ball but did not take possession. A bit barky in kennel but silent outside! Accepted but did not solicit pets. Per volunteer 8/11: When I approached Milky's kennel she looked at me with her big soulful eyes and graciously accepted treats. I did have some difficulty leashing her; she seemed to want to go with me but was wary of the leash itself. Once I had her leashed she was fine. She was easy to handle and walked well. She seemed easygoing and calm, and it was very easy to get her back into the kennel. It was hard to get good pics of her because she moved so much, but she has such sweet, expressive eyes!
