Orayvi had a hard start to her life and she carries that with her even though she is safe, fed, healthy and has people and dogs. She's incredibly athletic and needs a lot of activity. For her, that means hikes (preferably off leash so she can run- her happiest place to be). She can walk on a leash but is triggered on walks around the neighborhood or around people and their worlds so it is still pretty stressful for her. She is neutral with other dogs and needs to have one in the house to regulate her.Orayvi is about 35-40 lbs, almost all muscle. She prefers a quiet home with a large yard she can hang out in on warm days. She has no aggression at all though young kids will trigger her instinct to run and hide. She prefers a quiet household. Fully housebroken and uses her crate as her safe place. Won't get on furniture even if you want her too and still runs from her foster. She finally is accepting belly rubs but on her terms. Oryavi is a quiet, sweet, girl, about to turn 3 who could be happy with the right person and dog family. As long as she has another dog, she can be left alone most of the day. She does not come up to people easily and just gives a quick sniff before she runs off. She doesn't always make it easy to love her but she is worth it!This animal is in a foster home. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet.We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.
