Oslo von Olderup is a striking-looking, larger-sized, 2-year-old German Shepherd. This good boy may be shy at first glance, but he’ll warm up quickly when you spend a little time together (ear scratches and treats make him particularly happy!). On his walks he stays calm and walks close to his human, and meets other dogs well along the way. In his playgroups, he’s good with a light mingle; he can be unsure at first in the group setting and prefers the calmer dogs. (He's a no for cats.) Handsome Oslo would love to meet a family who can appreciate the finer things in life – hanging out on the couch, ear scratches and treats, of course! Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
