PWRESCUE.ORG **PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY** Ozzie and Oreo are a sweet bonded pair who came back to the rescue recently because their family situation has changed and their owners could no longer care for them. They are both 8 years old and approximately 27 pounds. Oreo (black one) is a female Shih Tzu mix and Ozzie is a male Havanese mix. They are best friends and are very bonded. Both dogs are very sweet but also are shy at first when meeting new people, so it may take some time and TLC, getting on the floor with them, offering treats, gentle and quiet slow approach works best with them -- but they can be won over in almost no time at all! They are a bit vocal and will bark at any new people coming into the home, so probably best to be in a home where not a lot of new people come in and out. Their ideal home would be one that is a low activity, quite, calm home so it would be best with no children in the home. They would prefer a fenced yard where they can run and a home where at least one person is home most of the time. They are up to date on vaccinations, neutered/spayed, and microchipped.
