Penelope is the best dog. She LOVES people. We adopted her from SEACCA animal shelter in Oct of 2023 with the highest of hopes. She had been there for 3 mo, so we knew the possibility of trauma, but when she jumped into our arms right away, we knew she was a keeper. She settled into our busy lives very easily. She’s patient with our kids and loves to sleep with them, she an excellent car rider, & we survived many sleepless nights getting her crate trained. She hasn’t spent a lot of time alone in the house, but she does great when we have to leave her in the dog-mode enabled Tesla for a couple of hrs so we can shop or go into an appt. Her struggle is with some other dogs. We don’t know why, but they’re not all her cup of tea. We’ve been to three training courses with Dr. Sue Myles, who calls Penny a crown jewel & star student. She is extremely smart, a quick learner, & the kind of dog who hugs you. Sadly, she just can’t seem to work it out with our other senior dog in our home.
