Hello my name is Philippe!I am an almost 1 year old black male lab mix. I weigh about 75 lbs, but I need to gain a few pounds to cover my ribs better. I was found wandering in the desert with my mom and 2 sisters. SCLRR took us in and it's way better than being in that hot desert! I'm a tall lanky boy with brindle on my paws. We are not sure what I'm mixed with, but foster mom says it must be a super chill breed. I love to lounge around and check out what the humans are up to. I like living in a house and show my appreciation by not chewing anything, no accidents, no counter surfing, no jumping, no digging, no separation anxiety and I don't even pull on the leash when I'm walking! I'm shy and timid for just a moment when I meet new people and dogs. Even though I am very low energy at home, when I'm with other dogs I follow and run and play and even go in the ocean! So much fun! Since I'm a follower, foster mom says I should live in a house with another dog to show me the ropes. I'm healthy, neutered and got all my vaccines. I have learned sit, come and lay down. I even have good recall already, so I got to be off leash at the beach! I listen when I hear no. I'm getting better at stay-I like to please, so I can probably learn a lot more. I haven't used a doggie door, but I know I can as long as it's tall enough for me. The only thing I am not good at is getting in the car. I lay down once I'm in, but I am anxious and need a little help getting used to the car. I've slept in a crate and on the floor. I met some cats my first few days with SCLRR, and I was not interested, but boy would I like to chase some squirrels! I have liked the kids I have met, but since I'm still a puppy, and so tall, only kids big enough to not get knocked down for me please! When you meet me you are going to say - what a sweet dog- cause that's what everyone says!
