Loving and playful!Hi, friends! My name is Phoenix, and I’m a 2-year-old Doberman Pincher female. I weigh 52 pounds, and I’ve already been spayed.Like many others, I was rescued from Ellos Son La Razon in Mexico. I came to TAP emaciated and with suspected Giardia (which has since cleared up). But despite the difficult times I’ve experienced, I’ve risen from the ashes of my previous life and know there are better things to come. I’m fully potty-trained and am working on my leash-training. I tend to like faster-paced walks, but I enjoy stopping every now and then to sniff all the different smells along the way. Currently, I’ve been working on my crate training and have been making great progress. I do well in a covered crate through the night and don’t make a peep once I’m inside. However, I just need some motivation to actually get in the crate. My foster parents tell me I’m very playful and friendly. In fact, I still have all of my puppy energy! I love affection, and I enjoy getting all the pets you can give. I also like being outside, taking naps in the sun, and playing with stimulating toys. I interact well with other doggie friends, and I enjoy kiddos. Be forewarned, though, that I get jumpy when excited, so I need to be supervised around younger humans. Even though I love my humans, I don’t have any signs of separation anxiety when they leave. I have a fear of garden hoses (most likely from my past life at ESLR), and I sometimes barks at people or noises. Therefore, I’d probably benefit from some additional training once in my furever home. I think I’d do best in an active household, especially in a home with a fenced-in backyard so that I can get my much-needed exercise. I would do okay alone during the day while you’re at work, but make sure you give me plenty of attention and love once you are home!My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
