Hello, my name is Pippi and I am now taking applications for a forever family, but it will need to be a special person or family as I am a special girl. I'm about 7 months old and weigh 25 pounds.I had a failed adoption that left me a bit scared of the outside world. I've been doing a lot of work to be the perfect dog for the perfect person/family. If you are interested in applying, here are my requirements;1. There must be another dog in the house. One that likes to play and is gentle as I am very submissive. But once I'm comfortable, I'm happy to show off my WWE skills where I launch myself into the air, jump off furniture or run real fast. I'm very dog friendly and I do not know the difference between dog play growling vs dog get away growling, so please introduce us slowly and safely.2. I require a patient human that will give me time to adjust. The rule of 3 does not apply to me. It will take me at least a week to decompress and show my personality. And it might take me a couple extra weeks to feel safe and build a routine. 3. I am crate trained, I dart in my crate when it's time to eat. Even if I'm not hungry, I will sit quietly while waiting for others to finish. I don't over eat, I am a grazer but I do love treats and will gobble them up. I sleep in my crate, but I would prefer your bed. I may cry the first few days in a new home, so please let me sleep next to or at least in the same room as another dog or you. Right now, I only cry in my crate when my dog friend goes upstairs to wake the human to feed us.4. I'm still a puppy so I learn with my mouth, I will chew on things, so please don't leave valuable items unattended with me. I like to chew on rocks, sticks and other items I find in the yard or house, please watch me closely to make sure I don't consume something dangerous. I am potty trained and I'm learning to ring bells when I want out. I do come when called and I understand no. I am working on accepting a leash. Once the leash is on me, I will politely follow you around but please provide me treats and praises as I am scared. I'm not a fan of car rides, as I went on a 22 hr car ride twice, it was traumatic. In time, I might like them but again, see requirement 2. Once I know I'm safe with you, I won't leave your side. I'll follow you into the bathroom, into your bed, around the house and hang out in the kitchen in case you are a messy cook like my foster mom.Please only apply if you meet these requirements. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
