Rocky is the sweetest senior ever who is looking for another miracle. He used one miracle when he was able to get out of a high-kill shelter in Oklahoma alive. At such pounds, seniors are the first to be euthanized, and Rocky was on the list. Rocky was lethargic, depressed and nearly lifeless until he was able to break out of the facility and join our Safe House. To say that Rocky has blossomed since his arrival at BAARK is definitely an understatement! He knows he’s been given the opportunity for a new life filled with fun, love, and the caring family he deserves. These day’s he’s feeling playful, loves relaxing in his dog beds, has a great appetite, loves walks and meeting new people. He enjoys the company of all dogs in his foster home (big and small) and gets along with cats too. It's difficult to find people like us at BAARK, who adore seniors and feel each deserves a chance to spend his/her twilight years enjoying every moment, and being loved every day. We sure hope we can find such a person or family for Rocky. But, in addition to being an adorable senior, Rocky has been diagnosed with Cushings disease. Rocky will require Vetoryl twice daily with repeat blood work every 3 months. Vetoryl costs will be about $160/month, and adopters need to consider that Rocky will need this medication for the remainder of his life. Rocky has so much love to give, and would love nothing more than to have his own family. No doubt participating in Rocky’s life and watching him continue to thrive will be worth the investment needed in his care. Rocky is fully vetted at this time, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heart worm prevention, neutered and micro-chipped.
