Adopt Romy a Tan/Yellow/Fawn - with White American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed dog

We saw this dog (who we've named Romy) making a scared dash across Burnet Road on 4/25. We've tried unsuccessfully to connect her with any owners via all of the usual websites and social channels, but with no luck we're now hoping to find her a loving family to adopt. Romy is a very sweet girl that the vets estimate is between 6 and 12 months old, and she's a little over 40 pounds. She loves to throw all of that body weight into your legs while you pet her, and also loves to wiggle along the floor and lay on top your feet. She still has that puppy energy and needs more leash training, but she's been great meeting humans and other dogs. She's being crate trained and we're working on sits and trying to discourage her jumping habit while she's still young. She hasn't met any kids yet, so we don't know how she'll act with them, but with the frequent jumping, she probably wouldn't be a great fit for homes with small children. She's up-to-date on her shots, and ready for her forever home!
