Meet Roux! A handsome middle aged man with plenty of spunk. This boy has charm and a great smile. He may need to warm up a little bit before showing off his huge personality, but once he does there is no going back! This sweet boy is a sucker for some head pets and treats which makes containing his adorable wiggle butt pretty difficult at times. His tail is often wagging non-stop. He loves to get out for walks and even with all of that energy, does great with walking loose leash and staying close by. Every once in a while this silly boy may get a jolt of energy and start playing around in the grass and maybe even get some zoomies, but as soon as it's time to move on he goes right back to your side. He enjoys plenty of good snuggles, big kisses and of course treats!Roux likes to get out and see the world! (Which is likely why he's found himself here). He was picked up with another dog wandering the neighborhood. His finder reports that his is very friendly with humans. Sit and Shake are already part of his repertoire. This spunky dude can be a bit rowdy for other dogs though, so would like to meet any potential dog friends before going to a new home. He recently went on a Dog Day Out! Here's what our volunteer had to say: My 10 year old son and I had the honor of spending our day with Roux on the most epic dog's day out ever! This 7 year old sweetheart is incredible. He does it all - sits, shakes, hangs on the patio, takes treats so gently, jumps in and out of the car with ease, is an amazing car rider, naps, and never ever pulls or jumps. No accidents in the house or on the patio, and let us know when he needed to go out.We started with lunch on the patio and he gobbled up his burger before I could get a pic! We were a party of 10 (all humans). He had exceptional table manners and was so social. Following lunch we went shopping for treats, took a walk and a nap, and finished the day with a pup cup. 10/10 day!On a second Dog Day Out! Here's what our volunteer had to say: We took a nap! He was a love bug and snuggle bug all rolled up into one. He was the best cuddle partner and was so sweet and loving. He was very affectionate and liked to sniff around before running back and sitting on my lap. I've never met a dog that was so affectionate and cuddly so fast, as soon as he warmed up to us he made himself very comfortable and really came out of his shell!Roux is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready to meet his forever family!
