Ruger was rescued from a rural shelter in Texas at the 11th hour. This sweet boy didn't even have a name, was just a forgotten soul. He was so confused when he was rescued but once he knew he was safe he turned into the sweetest boy and so happy to be free. We brought Ruger to NY where he was adopted out and we thougt it was forever. Sometimes you can do everything right and it still is not enough. After two years in a home and being a good boy, Ruger's adoptive parents had a baby and we were told they "have a real baby now" so Ruger was returned. Ruger was so confused when he got to our shelter in NY it broke our hearts. we never saw a dog so scared like this before that we were desperate to get him out. Ruger is in foster now and he just melts your heart. He is a good boy. He leans into you for pets and just lays his head on your lap an looks at you with those sad eyes. Ruger is a pretty chill little fellow and just wants to be near his person. He is housetrained and just follows his person around.
