Sally puts the “s” into sweetness. Savoring her second chance at life, the 3-year-old tan beauty is 50 pounds of pure doggy love who thrives on her foster mom’s attention, resting her head on her, showing her paw for more pets, rolling over for tummy rubs and dancing about in delight. Famous for getting the “wiggles” and for stomping her back feet when she eats, she also sways her whole butt seductively when walking, while gaily wagging her tail. Friendly towards the strangers she meets, she loves going for walks although she pulls hard on her leash given her size and strength, gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with toys, especially squeaky toys and balls, chewing on bones and taking car rides. Motivated by food, toys and love, accepting all treats gently, she knows “come,” “sit,” “no,” “leave it” on walks when distracted and has almost perfected “stay.” Having learned to co-exist peacefully alongside the resident cats, almost fully crate and house trained, sweet and social Sally will thrive in an active and affectionate home that will complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her second life is fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $300 . Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
