Meet Sandy, a 3 year old mini schnauzer mix. Sandy loves treats, playing with stuffed toys, and ADORES the company of other dogs. Sandy has had a pretty rough life out on the streets and is looking for a home where she can relax in. Sandy came to the shelter matted, wet, and extremely fearful... because of this it takes her time to learn to trust people enough to touch or handle her. She does not like to be picked up and shows significant discomfort with petting from strangers. Sandy has nipped in the past for being picked up or pet and may possibly do so again if she is over handled. Sandy is looking for a household without children under the age of 18, do not have frequent visitors, and will require multiple visits before being able to adopt her.
