Scotty is a 4-year old, 46-lb., Lab mix. He’s a handsome black and white with a cute stub of a tail that he wags engagingly. Scotty is housetrained and lives peacefully in a foster home with two other dogs. Scotty is a bit of an anxious and timid soul. He wants attention but is often afraid to go to you. He prefers females, but will warm up to men after a while, even though he still seems shy around them. This is not surprising, as Scotty has been bounced around a lot in his short life. He was adopted during the height of the COVID pandemic and, like many unfortunate dogs, didn’t fit in with the family's post-lockdown lifestyle. He was in a kennel for a couple of months and then in a foster home for a while. When the foster home did not work out, he found himself back in the kennel. All of this turmoil would make any dog anxious. Now that he is in a stable foster home, he becomes a bit more outgoing everyday, and loves playing with his ball. He will do well in a calm, patient home that will help him grow confident of his place. Because he is quite anxious at adoption shows, we no longer have him attend shows.If you are interested in meeting Scotty, we will gladly arrange a meeting at a convenient location or at his foster home.##811860##
