WANTED: CUDDLE PARTNER FOR A CUDDLE BEARScotty Bear, or Bear as he's known in his foster home, is the sweetest, most gentle, cuddle bear of a dog you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. He is a large dog who is about 12 years old and blind, but you wouldn't know it from meeting him. Bear has three favorite things: cuddles, hugs, and more cuddles. He will seriously be fine if you spent 24/7 doing nothing but cuddling and scritching him. As mentioned, he is blind, but he doesn't let that stop him. He will naturally be very cautious in a new environment for a few days, but he uses those days to try and map out where things are. Once he feels confident about his surroundings, he doesn't struggle as much with going wherever he wants. He is also super smart and uses his other senses to help him. One of his favorite things to do is to go into the backyard with his foster parents and play a game of doggie Marco Polo - his foster parents will call his name and he comes running toward them and finds them using his amazing hearing and nose. Each time he finds them he runs in circles and jumps up and down. He is also very gentle with other dogs and enjoys them tremendously, and he has a great temperament for knowing when he should give a dog space. In his foster home he is around a very small, mostly blind dog, and if he gets near her he gently sniffs at her to determine where exactly she is and then carefully moves around her. Bear is also house trained so no worries about messes to clean up! His foster family is slowly working on taking him for walks in their neighborhood as he's cautious to leave the home, but this will improve as he gets more comfortable.
