Scout is a vibrant and happy 2 and a half-year-old lab mix (we believe) who is eagerly seeking her forever home. While we can't be certain of her exact breed, her bubbly personality and loving nature make her an exceptional companion for the right family. Scout has been with us for over a year, captivating the hearts of staff and volunteers alike and becoming a very cherished part of our shelter family ... but her time to find a loving family to call her own is long past due. Our ultimate goal is to find her the perfect forever home where she can thrive and share her boundless love and affection.Scout's happy-go-lucky nature is one of her most endearing qualities. She absolutely adores toys and is always eager to engage. Of course, her favorite pastime is playtime! She is super playful and has an insatiable love for toys. Whether it's a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or chasing after squeaky toys, she thrives on interaction and fun. Her silly nature is contagious, and you'll find yourself immersed in joy and laughter with Scout by your side. When it comes to training, Scout is a star pupil. She is incredibly food motivated and will gladly showcase her arsenal of tricks to earn her beloved treats. Watching her perform her repertoire of tricks is an adorable sight to behold, and her eagerness to learn makes training sessions both enjoyable and rewarding. However, weighing 70lbs, Scout could benefit from some weight management to ensure she stays healthy and active. While her food-motivated behavior is adorable, it can make it challenging for volunteers to stick to her diet plan. But with consistency and patience, she can absolutely achieve her weight loss goals.It's important to note that Scout has an old injury to one of her front elbows, which occasionally flares up when she overexerts herself.
