Hey there, I'm Scrappy! I'm a 9-year-old pup who's been let down by humans a few times, but I'm ready for my happily ever after. My foster mom says my ears are pretty darn cute. Don't let my age fool you! I still enjoy playing with tennis balls and getting the zoomies sometimes. I do like to go for walks and I have very good manners. Let's just make it a short one though, cause I can hear the couch calling my name! Hotdogs and butt scratches are my absolute favorites! I am allowed to free roam at my foster home and I have never had an accident or torn anything up. I also have a kennel that I can stay in and I don't mind it when I have to. I may not make the best guard dog. I am very hard of hearing so if somebody comes knocking I probably won't bark at them. Since I can't hear very well, I'd appreciate kids who understand to give me space. I'd also prefer doggie friends who aren't too hyper. As for cats, I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. I would really love to meet you! While my foster home is pretty great, I just want my forever people!Before going to foster Scrappy went on a Dog Day Out! Here's what our volunteer had to say: Scrappy is a big teddy bear with wonderful manners. Underneath his very serious expression lies the gentlest older dog who spent the day enjoying the view from the car windows, watching the birds and smelling the herbs and flowers in our yard. He napped with one eye open so he can ensure he's near you. He ambled over to some workmen in our home and waited patiently for head pats. He also talks to you when he needs to go out. He will never run a marathon or be the energetic athlete of the house, but at the end of the day I realized I'd spent such a calm and peaceful day.
