Somu is a sweet and gentle boy! He is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Somu has a good temperament and lots of love to give. He has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, there is not a mean bone in him. Somu is doing well in his foster home and ready for his forever home. Somu started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining. He rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed home to continue training and socialization as he grows up. Somu’s Rescue Story Somu and his siblings were found abandoned in the mountain. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. Somu had a thorough medical checkup. He had been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Please give Somu a loving home where he will never be left behind again.
