Meet Tiger! Tiger came to us as an owner surrender because his owner was not able to have him where he lived. We believe Tiger was born in December of 2021 and he is currently around 75 pounds. Tiger is very food and treat motivated, and he prefers to be left alone while he eats. He keeps a clean kennel here at the shelter so he may only need a small refresher course on potty training while adjusting to a new schedule / routine. We believe he would do best with children 12+ that know to leave him alone while he eats. Tiger seems curious about other dogs here at the shelter, and he may do okay with another dog if it was the right fit, but we think he would do best without a cat in his new home. Experience with his breed would be a plus! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
