Oh Hello! I’m Tommy B, a 1 ½ year old Pitbull weighing 57 pounds. Originally found as a stray roaming the local streets, no owner came forward for me so I’m now hoping a new family will! While I enjoy leashed walks exploring the outdoors, I’m one rambunctious boy who is mighty strong on leash. So, it’s best to have a good handle on me while we’re both getting our steps in. I can be reactive when passing other fellow canines outside, but no need to fret! Adopters willing to change direction or play real life “frogger” around the neighborhood would help me adjust nicely. If you really want to see my eyes light up, throw some stuffed toys my way. Just don’t expect them to last more than a few seconds as I tend to rip them up pretty quickly. The excitement of having a toy to play with is sometimes too much for me to handle, so it’s best that my adopters never rough house with me. I get so amped up that it’s hard for me to come back down to a calm level. Since I can be anxious in new places, my adopters should go slow, allowing me to settle into my new surroundings at my own pace. Once I realize I am home and everything is familiar to me, I will enjoy receiving pets and affection and being told how much of a “good boy” I truly am! Ready for a big boy with a big heart? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!
