Adopt Winter a White Mixed Breed (Large) / Mixed dog in Oklahoma City

Winter can be as spunky as she can be shy. She zooms around her foster home and loves to get treats, eat peanut butter off of a LickiMat, and lay in the grass in the back yard. She plops down in front of you for pets. She could sit there for hours. She has a "secret spot" she likes to hang out and nap in. Winter will benefit from a crate or "secret spot" to help her feel safe and decompress in a new environment. She's house trained but can be shy about telling you at first. Sometime in her short life she became afraid of loud noises, cars, strangers, etc. This has shown up while on walks, but has been working on it with her foster mom. Repeated exposure and good experiences will help her to overcome her fears. So far foster mom has had to encourage her to get into the car but, after that, she loves to look out the windows at all the interesting sights that pass by. Did we mention how sweet it is when she runs up to you, sits down and looks up at you waiting for you to snuggle with her? Winter girl is the sweetest in all the land and wants nothing more than to be given time to show how good of a girl she is once give the opportunity. Winter loves and is loyal to her humans like no other, but would do best as an only pet in her home as she has not had the chance to be well socialized living and sharing her people with other dogs. She promises to double the amount of love and excitement to make up for it though. Come meet Winter! To know her is to love her.
