Zorro is a handsome, 50-pound, young Doberman (estimated DOB 12/22). He would love a home with an active family (older or no kids) who isn't gone for long periods. Ideal family would have breed experience, is committed to continue his training, with a yard and a friendly dog buddy to play with. Zorro came to the rescue emaciated, malnourished, with parvo and a damaged eye which had to be removed. He has made an amazing recovery and has turned into a sweet, goofy, energetic boy who is learning how to be part of a family and a pack. He can be a bit of an insecure guy with new people and new dogs so it does take him time to warm up. He likes to play and can be a bit pushy with dogs that are smaller or who have a more submissive play style. He’s curious about the cats in his foster home, but will chase if they run. He is working on not jumping up on people so small children might not be ideal. He is still working on basic training. He is potty trained with consistent reminders throughout the day.
