Aja, is a young, little (maybe 40lbs) girl (maybe 2) who was used as a breeding machine (yep - 2 litters) during her life -mostly inside, and had very little human touch/interaction outside her crate. We know..... because she came to us (Nov9) shortly AFTER the previous owner kept her last litter of puppies, then dumped her. She is now spayed, completely vetted, learning to love some soft plushy toys, cautiously exploring the great outdoors, and graciously accepting human touch. Wiggle Worm is her nickname, LOL. Aja is crate trained, house trained, growing in confidence w/our help, AND learning to enjoy being outside. Eye contact took 2 weeks to obtain, and she is learning to trust (a lot less tongue flicks) and relax w/human contact. She is slow to warm up to men but will do so within the hour if ignored and if she can approach on her timeline with treats as a reward ;-) Unsure how she is around children, we recommend adult family at this time. She enjoys seeing other dogs thru her fence line and likes running the fence line too, but will guard her toys if they approach. She is currently in Miami County, OH Application is on the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org We are seeking a FOSTER or Foster -TO - Adopt for Aja.Adoption processIf application is approved, we contact you for a home visit and meet/greet with the dog. Adoption fee includes a 2 week trial contract initially; if all goes well the final step is signing the adoption contract
