No adoption event or special fee weekend necessary!*** SNOOP - 1 1/2 years old, 55 pounds, house trained, recommend no kids/cats/dogs, slow to warm up to new people, treat motivated, good on leash, loving and sweet when he knows you, loves to run & chase squirrels, protector. Only a year and a half old and looking for a new home already. Snoop has a little background which would make anyone sad. He spent much of his time in a crate, alone. Puppies need socialization and care, love and attention. This background easily explains Snoop's personality. He is scared of his own shadow as his previous family tells us. He's scared of leaves, shadows, loud noises. You name it, he's scared of it. He is nervous with new people. The first few times I saw him in his shelter cage, it was sadly obvious he doesn't trust you. Treats, treats, and more treats. That will be the way to Snoop's heart. He is a puppy! Let's remember this! And we need to remember he is clearly still learning how to trust on a daily basis. Snoop's family told us a lot about him. The describe him as a lover to his family. Snoop will need patience and time as he now will have to get used to a whole new family, routine, and environment. Snoop will need the time to proceed on his own terms. I finally met him outside with a volunteer he trusted. You can tell he is a sweet boy but anyone wanting him to trust them must go slow.
