All we can say about Leona is how sweet she is! Since the day she came in, she has been sweet and loving to all of us. She didn’t feel well for the first couple weeks of her residency, but antibiotics following the vet visit have really made her feel top notch and she has so much spring in her step now we would never guess she was a senior. She is one who is so housetrained she can’t wait to get outside. She prances and dances when she waits for her breakfast, and has become a delight for the animal control officers to care for. Her coat has grown in beautifully and thick, and it’s a gorgeous, chocolatey color now. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped and had her lumps and bumps removed, plus her dewclaws. We are looking for an awesome foster home for this girl, who gets along well with other dogs as long as she receives an appropriate introduction first. She had wonderful playtime with another female, and they did well together because of their equal play styles. A home who will care about her, give her a chance to adjust, and someone to love her. With an Easy Walker style harness, she is a dream to walk. She has been sponsored for adoption by one of our Volunteers who adores her! We don’t know if she is good with cats, but think she would probably play rough with him if she encountered one.
