LUCIA NEEDS A HOME ASAP!Lucia is starting to get frustrated being at the shelter and really needs a home as soon as possible. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Lucia is friendly, sweet and playful; she likes rough-house playing with other dogs and people. She has lots of energy and would be a great dog for any active person or family with respectful children. She needs some help walking nicely on the leash but knows the sit command. Sheâs a bit eager when taking treats, so care should be used when children are around with food. She may chase a cat unless trained not to. She enjoys playing with toys and participating in our dog playgroups here at the shelter. OBSERVED BY TRAINER:What a sweet and energetic girl! She likes to play in a âseek-and-destroyâ type style with other dogs that includes lots of running and chasing, but always ending with some rough play. Although she likes playing and she definitely benefits from the exercise, Lucia has shown us her snuggly side too. She actually prefers human interaction! She likes pets and praise, and I can already picture her exercising away her energy with a human companion instead of another dog. Weighs 45 pounds
