My name is Betty, and I am a female Bichon Frise Shuh Tzu mix. You may be able to tell by my picture, but I am nervous in this shelter environment. I feel more comfortable around my dog friends, so a home with a confident, kind dog that can show me the ropes would be ideal. Since I am a little shy, a calmer home with no young children would be best for me. If you are interested in meeting a gal like me, I’d recommend bringing treats; treats always seem to do the trick. Do not let my shy personality scare you, because I know I will warm up with the right home!These are rescues from a puppy mill. They need special attention. They have had limited handling and have spent little time in a home environment. They are not leash trained. Most of their lives have been in small cages. They need extra time to adjust, but it’s totally worth it. Once they learn to trust you, it’s a forever bond!All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm. A minimum adoption fee of $175 is required for adult dogs, puppy adoption fees start $250, and dogs over the age of 10 are $85.
