Archie (Neutered) American Staffordshire Terrier Young Male

Archie is a cute one-year old male American Staffordshire Terrier who was picked up on Second Street in New Matamoras Ohio on August 28, 2023 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. Archie was wearing a collar but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on his collar. Archie was scanned for a microchip (and one was detected), but there is still a mystery as to who this sweet boy's owner is since the microchip was registered to a cat. So we hope that someone will recognize Archie's cute face and help us solve this mystery. Archie has a snow white coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with pale blue eyes, a pink/black nose, and short floppy ears. This little lovebug has the sweetest disposition and wiggles all over for attention. Archie posed like a Westminster 'Best of Show' pup during his photo session (even though an unexpected rain shower rudely interrupted his 15-minutes of fame). Archie appears to be hearing-impaired (which is common in many white dogs and cats) and makes him even sweeter in our opinion. Archie weighs 50 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Archie will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Since he was not reclaimed, Archie was neutered on September 18, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. UPDATE: Archie has spent time in a foster home (most recently for about two weeks), and his foster family reported that he was fine with other dogs and was ok with cats. He would do better with older children since he is still very much an overgrown puppy and tends to playfully nip. Archie is 'mostly' housetrained and crate trained.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Archie (Neutered), please reach out to the adoption group directly.
