Austin is a cute 9-month old male Plott Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 14, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Montgomery Street in Marietta Ohio. Austin has a light brown/tan short smooth coat in a brindle pattern, a narrow vertical strip of white on his chest, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his muzzle, and short semi-erect ears. This young man has a friendly, easygoing personality. Austin pranced alongside HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan who accompanied him for outdoor photos on the afternoon on November 14th. All dogs seem to love Fredley (and vice versa), so Austin was no exception. He looked to Fredley for guidance and attention (and 'good boy' treats after he returned to the front office where he had been relaxing in a soft bed). Austin weighs 45 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Austin will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Austin, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
