I'm Sven, the goofiest pup you'll ever meet. I'm about 8 months old and full of life. I'm all about fun, cuddles, and more fun! So, how'd I end up here? Well, it's a funny story. I was chasing my tail (I'm sure it's plotting against me) and I ran into a wall. I'm okay, but my pride? Not so much. The folks here at the shelter took me in, and they're great, but I'm ready for a new adventure. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and maybe a few facepalm moments. I can't wait to be your new best friend and the star of your home videos! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at .polkcountyhumanesociety/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Please DO NOT CALL to ask about me. The staff at PCHS is small and there is a place on our short application form for questions or you can email questions to infopolkcountyhumanesociety. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
