Sweet Jewel is in need of a most understanding home, where she can be supervised. She was adopted about nine months ago, and we thought everything was going great--so imagine how sad and disappointed we were to discover that her adoptive family quit giving her the anti-seizure meds she so desperately needs to control her seizures, and decided to treat her "naturally," which apparently meant no meds whatsoever. We are glad she is back in our care! Did you know that every time a dog undergoes a seizure, brain cells are killed and damage is done that cannot be fixed? She is now back under a doctor's care, and we hope she will be stabilized while she is medicated so we can find her a new home! Don't be afraid of dogs who need special care! They need love as much as the "perfect" dogs!
