Bentley is at that age as a Black Lab mix pup that we would call him a goofy teenager. This boy is only 9 mos. old and weighs in at 45 pounds with an ultimate weight most probably to be 55 when fully grown. His story is sad but very familiar these days in the rural southern states. Dropped on a sparsely traveled rural road in Tennessee, Bentley and 5 others found themselves abandoned and wondering where they Would find food or water next. He and the others were not socialized as young pups you can tell. They are learning things now that a 6 week old puppy should be learning. We know that with love and Patience, these abandoned teenage pups will be loving family companions in life. They have a sweet nature about them but they are just awkward and a little backward at the moment. He is good with other dogs and learning what that long line (called a leash) is all about as it is attached to the collar on his neck. All new things that quickly will become familiar things in his life. If you want a loving project and a real rescue story to tell then please step up to help Bentley get polished to the finest dog in life. When we say adopt a rescue dog we are not saying ..adopt a perfect dog. None of are perfect as humans and thank goodness people are patient with us and work with us to learn things in life. This boy needs and deserves the same courtesy for this life. It got off to a not so good start But thanks to a wonderful foster mom who took in actually all 6 of the dogs..he has a fighting chance to be a star some day soon. Would you like to look back on adopting this boy and feel a sense of pride and True life accomplishment as you mold him into a wonderful dog?
