Blaze is a 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier that has been at AWL since 4/5/2023 (over 235 days). Blaze has won the prestigious award of MOST HANDSOME and is all sorts of special! Just look at those big adorable ears and gorgeous coat. He's also SUPER soft with no shedding! Blaze is people friendly, affectionate, and intelligent. Blaze loves going out for walks/jogs, frolicking in a fully fenced in yard, and being showered with endless love/attention. Blaze is crate and house trained. Blaze has made a few doggy friends at AWL - with slow leashed intros we think he'd thrive in a household with other non agressive dogs. Blaze requires a NO CAT home and meet and greet for any/all pets in household to make sure he's an ideal fit his future furrrever family! Blaze is looking for the his best friend! Could that be you? Once they get that turned into us we call landlords, vets, and references and check to make sure their animals have all been up to date and make sure their landlords( if they have one ) are okay with them bringing home a new animal. We also call the references to make sure they are good animal owners. We will also look at whether or not you have a fenced in yard and how big your yard is ( if adopting a dog). We want to make sure we have the best fit home for the animals. All of our animals have their boosters (adult or puppy). Some are fixed and some are not. We do have a spay/neuter trailer that comes to the shelter at least once a month that spay and neuters our animals.Shelter locationIf you are interested in meeting one of our animals, call the shelter 765-362-XXXX to make sure the animal is still available for adoption.
