I am a handsome 10 year old flashy fawn boy that is an owner surrender due to my owners moving and they believe the house won’t be suitable for my needs. I am a proud member of the rescue’s Silver Heart program so be sure and ask about it because there are many perks for my adoptive family! I did have surgery in the past due to continuous gum growth so I am missing one canine and a few top teeth, but I do not let it bother me or affect my eating (I really like the Iams adult soft food)! I am described as friendly, smart, calm, protective, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I am said to be dog, kid, and cat friendly! I live with three kids (ages 11-17 years) and am great with them! I also lived with a cat and we mostly ignored each other. I am house trained but would need assistance with crate training manners if that is required in my forever home. At night I sleep on blankets beside the human’s bed and when the human’s must be away, I am fine and used to being alone. I am fearful of thunder and fireworks. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, going for walks, and cuddling! My current owner says I am “a mama’s boy” that “just wants love and butt scratches”.
