Bugsy is a great buddy to have around. He is about 18 lbs and around 6- 7 years old. He enjoys going on walks and loves to wander around in the yard in his wheels or scooting along, play with his toys, happy all snuggled up with his people, and just hanging around. Bugsy loves the toys at his foster home and doesn’t mind sharing them. He is the sweetest and most loving guy you will ever meet. He has been around all sizes and breeds of dogs and gets along great with them He enjoys the company of other dogs but he would be just as happy to be an only dog if his person was around most of the time to keep him company. If not then he needs a canine companion for company. Bugsy is very affectionate but doesn’t require a ton of attention to be content. He is pretty low-maintenance and will happily follow your lead. Bugsy doesn’t use his back legs but do not be fooled since he is still an active guy and can go many places with his wheels or rear harness. He is very good around young kids and lives with one now. Bugsy is exceptionally loving and eager to please. He knows what he is being told and if you are looking for a smarty to be part of your family he is the guy. He will bring lots of warmth and terrier-silliness to your home. Give him a chance and he will steal your heart. Bugsy also needs a new foster home if not adopted.He is now being fostered in Belmont, CA and his adoption fee is $275. Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at XXXX@yahoo.com for more information about this great guy or for an application to adopt.Adoption processThe first step to adopting is to complete the Adoption Application and submit it to the Dog Zone Rescue. You will be contacted right away by a representative once we receive it. Our application process includes an adopter, a veterinarian if you already have a pet personal interviews, as well as a home Inspection to ensure the environment is safe for the dog. It usually takes no more than 2 -3 weeks from the time we receive the application for your dog to come home to you. Our policy is to find the best home for each dog, where it will thrive in the environment of its new forever home. Although we work the applications on a first come, first served policy, it doesn't necessarily mean that the first application is the perfect fit. If the dog you applied for is not a good match for your home, we will make sure to work closely with you and your family to find which one of our precious dogs will be a great fit for your lifestyle. You can be assured that we do not misrepresent our dogs and we are absolutely honest when we tell you about our dogs. Our adoption fee varies depending on the dog's breed and age. The range is $250- $300. Senior-to senior program: On dogs 10 years old and older we work on a case by case basis and will reduce fees where we can. We do offer training support with all our adoptions; just contact us if you need help. The dogs are nurtured in foster homes and given basic training and treated for any injuries or illnesses that we are aware of.Shelter locationWe do not have an adoption center, we occasionally are able to take some dogs to events which we will post here.
