This cutie is Bunson. He is a one-year-old Sheltie mix and weighs 17 pounds. Bunson is a sweet boy and does well with other dogs and cats. Bunson is true to most of the Sheltie breed characteristics. He is attentive, responsive, and sensitive. Bunson responds well to praise and gentle guidance. Typical of his breed, he is reactive to loud noises and startles easily. Bunson would not enjoy a home with loud voices, roughhousing or small children. Bunson is reserved at first and timid with strangers. He warms up quickly but it will take him time to adjust to a new home. Bunson was found as a stray and was very scared at first. He does great with other dogs and loves to play. He needs another playful dog in his home. He models his behavior by watching another dog and is much more confident with another dog to show him the ropes. Bunson is looking for a home with a fenced in yard so he can safely run and play. Bunson is house trained, kennel trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. We require a home visit and an adoption contract. Our adoption fee is $200 for most dogs. Prior to adoption all of our dogs have all the vaccinations appropriate for their age, are spay/neutered if over 4 months old, microchipped and heartworm checked if over 12 months of age.Shelter locationWe are a very new rescue and do not yet has established adoption events at our local pet supply stores. We arrange meets and greets with our dogs when requested.
