Are you looking for a calm, low maintenance buddy to keep you company around the house and on leisurely walks? Well, look no further! I'm Pette, a sweet 8 year old gentleman who is ready to be your new couch buddy. I may not be a spring chicken anymore, but I've got plenty of pep left for walks, short but rousing games of fetch, and lots of petting and skritches. I am a little dude weighing in at 32 pounds, and I'm some kind of heeler mix. I'm well behaved in the house for the most part, and when left to my own preferences I like to just follow you around and snooze while you do your thing. In my foster home I follow my human dad into his office and keep him company all day while he works from home. Every afternoon I let him know it's time for a quick game of fetch, and then I'm ready to relax again! I get along with dogs, but I don't like to be jostled or play rowdy. I'm more of a peaceful co-exister, if you know what I mean. I also get along great with cats, and could live with gentle humans of all ages. I love neck scratches and will sidle up to you sideways so you'll scratch me in the exact right spot - aaahhh! I sleep in my crate all night if I don't think you're around, but if you're near I do cry for you to let me out. I would prefer to sleep out on your bed, and I promise I'd be a good boy. If you want to crate me, I'll need a plastic crate so I won't try to escape. What can I say, I feel like when you're my age you deserve to be out with the family!
