Charlie is a cute 6-month old male Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 7, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 339 in the Belpre Ohio area. Charlie was not wearing a collar, but he did have a microchip .. So our shelter staff has been trying to contact his family. Charlie has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with expressive brown eyes, tan eyebrows, a dusting of white on his muzzle, and large floppy ears. This sweet boy is quite friendly but is understandably a bit frightened being in an unfamiliar place with people that he does not yet realize are among his new best friends. Charlie obviously felt safe (and loved) by HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash who accompanied him for outdoor photos on December 8, 2023. Charlie looked to Jared for guidance and support ... And quickly responded to Jared's gentle touch. Charlie weighs 32 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Charlie will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
