How can anyone resist this handsome hunk! Meet Chester, a 1.5 year old, ~60 lb, Pitbull/Bulldog Mix. He hasnt always lived the couch life, originally rescued from living his life on a thick log chain attached to a big Oak tree. He hasnt let that dampen his spirits though. After his initial rescue, Chester was placed into a foster home for several months while vetting was completed. He was not getting much attention due to the fosters availability, so he was moved to a foster home that had more time to interact with him. This is where his life truly began to change. Initially, he was pretty leery of his foster mom, not understanding that she was doing what was best for him. After the necessary decompression time (roughly 1.5 weeks), Chester began to come out of his shell and has become quite the love-bug! Chester has a very quirky personality! He absolutely loves spending all his spare time with his people and giving big wet kisses in the process! When not trying to shower his people with love, he loves playing with his tug-o-war rope toy. After all the kisses and toy playing, naps on the couch begin! At night, Chester does sleep in a kennel and you can count on his zoomies first thing in the morning when you let him out! Chester has been around children with no issues, however, due to his size and playful personality, older children or no children would be recommended. Chesters foster parents have other animals (7 dogs, 5 cats, & 2 bunnies), all of which Chester gets along with! Chester does still have some puppyish tendencies (stealing shoes, jumping, etc) that he is currently working on, but will take some additional time & training. If you are looking for a big, goofy, loving family member, Chester is the right pooch for you!
