Creed came to us as an owner surrender in 2019, after living in the same home since he was a tiny puppy. He has since been adopted out THREE TIMES and came back each time for adopters losing their homes, financial hardship, and other reasons like that that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Creed himself. Because honestly, Creed is one of our sweetest dogs we have here. He is quiet, he is calm, he is house trained, he is sweet, he is smart, he is great in the car, he is affectionate and oh yes, he is an adorable hippo! We are so upset for him, just imagine how he must feel, going from being in one home his whole life, to being in 3 different homes in 3 years. This cycle has to stop - we need to get him into his FOREVER home, one where his people will care for him for the rest of his life so he can finally, truly, understand what it's like to feel safe. No cats for this hunky guy, but dogs are a possibility. Seriously!! This mini-hippo worked out and was able to drop all the excess weight he put on when his previous adopter decided to over-feed and provide no exercise!! This hunk is looking perfect at a svelte 99 pounds! WHOO HOOOO! Aside from his handsome physique - Creed is the best friend you could ever want!! He is house-broken, loves to play but really is just as happy to be near his people. He loves to meet new people, (Social butterfly is his profession by choice!) Anyone who meets him loves him!! He is gentle when taking treats, likes every treat including carrots and knows plenty of tricks to keep you engaged!! He is a great partner on trails or a slight jog, he will let you know when its time to go out for a walk or a romp just in the yard. He will pull if he spots a rabbit or squirrel so you have to be on your toes when you are walking him. He is best suited to be a solo dog, he prefers humans to canines. This senior has a heart of gold - he loves belly rubs, ear rubs and loves to give kisses!! We don't understand why Creed hasn't been scooped up yet. He would be best matched with a family with tween aged kids, (or no kids) and no other pets! Most importantly he wants as much love as you can possibly give!! Creed is one cool fella. He is that cool canine you want riding in the car with you or just wetting his feet in a puppy pool to cool off. We can't say enough fabulous things about this special fella - he gets to live life at the shelter in our Adoption office; but he really wants to know what it is like to be in a home, with his family.
