Hi! I'm Daniel, a lively 8-month-old, 55-pound black Lab & German Shepherd mix with boundless puppy energy! At only 4 months old, I ended up in a southern kill shelter with a broken leg. But now I’m better and ready for my furever home! I absolutely adore playing with my furry friends, going on walks, cuddling and sinking my teeth into chew bones (but please, no rawhide!). I'm super smart and always eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. Those doggie puzzles and Kongs keep my busy mind entertained, and I'm content as can be with my stuffies and chew toys. Just like a curious toddler, I love to explore, sometimes with my mouth, so older children would probably be the best fit for me right now. I'm still figuring out what to do with these long legs and big feet of mine, but I'm having a blast discovering the world around me. Meeting new people and furry pals fills me with excitement, and having a fur sibling to romp around with would be a dream come true. I haven’t been exposed to cats yet, so I might meet them with curiosity, but I think we’d be able to get along. I'm a quick learner, especially when other dogs show me the ropes, and I take correction very well. Being crate-trained isn't so bad, though I might make a bit of noise when you leave. I do enjoy snuggling up in there with the door open for naps. I've got the hang of potty training, but I might need a little help sticking to a schedule. I would love a furever home with a fenced in yard and a family that walks me regularly - I have so much puppy energy to get out! Learning commands like 'wait' and 'okay' was a breeze for me, and I'm a perfect passenger in the car, content to lie down and relax in the backseat. I’m fixed, microchipped, up-to-date on my vaccines and my adoption fee is $350. With my sweet, loving and playful nature, I can't wait to grow up and become the bestest boy for my furever family. We will review the application and then pass on to the dog's foster family (if applicable). We then contact the potential adopter's vet and we will also do a home visit.
