Meet Dasher! His name is perfect because his favorite thing to do is chase balls around the yard. He also seems housebroken and will sit for a treat! Dasher was in a playgroup recently and was deemed a rockstar! He did great with dogs of all play styles both rowdy and submissive. He came in mid December and has been patiently waiting for someone to see he will be the perfect best friend for a person or a doggy. Dasher is heartworm negative, fixed, and ready to go home with you today!Adoption processHSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high.
