Duckie (aka Momma) is a five year old, 45 pound lab mix that came in from a shelter in February with a litter of 8 newborn puppies, and her “baby daddy,” Domino, who has since been adopted. Duckie was lucky to find a foster for her and her family, but soon one by one the puppies began to die, until only one was left. We never found out why, but assumed it was pneumonia. Through all of it, Duckie remained calm and sweet and is one of the best dogs that we have had. She got along great with the other dogs in the house, big and small, no problem with the cat and loved the kids. Now its time for her to find a forever home, and she should be an easy one.
